Book Title Reveal!

Joke for the week:

Hi ,

I’ve had a great writing week on the next book in the Advocate Series. And the title has been chosen: THE ADVOCATE’S REFLECTION.

Thank you all for submitting your word choices. I had seven people suggest the title so the names went into a random name selector and the winner is CAROLYN SILBERMAN. Congratulations, Carolyn.

It won’t be long now before I’ll be sending out book covers to be voted on. Okay, it’ll be a while, since none of them have been designed yet. But my cover designer is starting to look at some ideas that I’ve passed on to her.

Happy April Fools Day!

Hi,

Not much news this week. I’m working on TAR. The Advocate’s Quandary Audible version is getting closer to the finish line. And I’ve had good response on attendees for the local library event on Saturday (see schedule below.)

Kindle readers don’t miss out on LJ Seller’s Free book. She’s one of my favorite writers.

BEYOND BURRELL

On this week’s Beyond Burrell, L.J. Sellers has a new release in her Jackson Mystery series, DEATH OF A RICH MAN.

To go along with this, she is also giving away AFTER STRIKE, a book in her Agent Dallas Series, for FREE April 1st through the 5th! Get them while you can!

Description of DEATH OF A RICH MAN:

A Provocative Mystery Thriller from a 5-time Readers Favorite Winner!

For Detective Jackson, the murder of a billionaire landlord seems like a slam-dunk case against the leader of a local Renters Rebellion. Then the taskforce discovers provocative images on the victim’s laptop and pursues another more-deviant motive. But the rich man’s widow has the chief of police on speed-dial and fights to shut down the investigation into her husband’s private life.

The case takes another unexpected turn when the widow is kidnapped and Detective Evans is pulled off the team to check out an accidental drowning. When the victim’s sister abruptly dies too, Evans digs even deeper into the family’s secrets.

The detectives must defy the police chief and risk their jobs to find the shocking truth that binds their investigations. But can they make the connection in time to stop a killer?

“I loved everything about this story!” — Julie N., reviewer

About the author:
When not plotting murders, L.J. enjoys standup comedy, cycling, and zip-lining. Like her Agent Dallas character, she’s an adrenaline junkie. And like her Extractor character, she once rescued her grandchildren from a dangerous cult.

The Advocate’s Quandary Was in a Quandary!

Hi,

There was a glitch in the Kindle version of The Advocate’s Quandary. It was corrected by around 10:30 a.m. PST the day of release. So, if you received a free Kindle copy through the Goodreads giveaway, or you pre-ordered a copy, you may have gotten one with some chapters out of order. If your copy was uploaded after the fix, you should have the corrected copy.

However, you should check to make sure. It’s easy to check, just go to Chapter 15 and see how it starts. It should read:

Thursday late afternoon

It was quiet in Sabre’s office.

If it does, your book SHOULD be correct! I say “should” because I’ve been told “when working with digital copy, these things can happen.” I promise you, I’ll do my best to not ever let it happen again. Amazon has been very gracious about fixing it.

For some, just rebooting their machine took care of the problem. If not, this should work:

1. Log into your Amazon account

2. Under the Account & Lists menu (at the top of the screen), select Content Library, then Books
3. Scroll down to The Advocate’s Quandary and select the Deliver or Remove from Device.
4. Unclick all devices the book had been downloaded to and select Make Changes.
5. Then a few minutes later, select Deliver or Remove from Device, select the devices you want to download the book to and select Make Changes.
The new version should be downloaded to all the devices you selected.

As an FYI, You may need to delete the original downloaded version from your Kindle app before the new version will download.

Please let me know if this works for you. You can contact me at teewriter@gmail.com if you still have an issue and I’ll make sure it’s corrected.

Progress Update!

Joke for the week:

Hi,

If you noticed my photo above changed. My sister had a birthday and we took her to high tea. It was really fun and we hope to make it an annual event. And below is a photo of our family at the event–two of my sisters and five of my nieces.

As for my books–The Advocate’s Quandary is almost ready to send to the editor. I’m working on the second draft right now.

Title Reveal!

JPism for the week:

Hi,

We have a title for the Q book! I need to let you know that I had 39 readers suggest this word for the title. Since there can only be one winner, I threw them in a “name picker” and let the random wheel decide. Thank you all for your participation.

And the title is: THE ADVOCATE’S QUANDARY

And the winner is: Mary Bagnasco! Congratulations, Mary!
